From the Vintage Sports Car Club's Elstree speed trial on Easter Monday, 22 April 1946 to the British Grand Prix at Silverstone in 1953, Guy Griffiths' pictures capture that now departed world of gentleman players and unusual characters that comprised British motor sport of the period. Over 420 photographs, personally selected by Guy Griffiths from his fantastic collection, combined with Anthony Pritchard’s incisive text make this book a fascinating and unique portrait of British motor sport during those formative post war years.

1946 And All That follows on in the Palawan tradition of Ferrari in Camera, Klemantaski Portfolio and Sixties Motor Racing, celebrating the work of motor racing’s greatest photographers.

Measuring 300mm x 300mm, the book consists of over 360 pages with over 420 photographs and is available in four limited editions.



Limited to 1500 numbered copies, bound in buckram featuring a silk-screened image on the front and two colour foil embossing on front and spine.

There are three leatherbound editions - Black, Blue and Silver. Each edition consists of of eight signed copies, specially numbered 1946 – 1953. Each book is handbound in Morocco leather to order, with an on-laid metal plate on the front and is presented in a drop-back cloth solander box.
